Zishan Ding
Piano Instructor

Ms. Zishan Ding started her piano journey at the age of 3. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree at Arizona State University under Dr. Baruch Meir. While attending school, she was a teaching assistant since 2014.
She received her Masters Degree in Piano Performance from San Francisco Conservatory of music. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelors Degree from Conservatoire National de Lyon (France). Zishan was selected as a Scholarship receiver during her studies in both ASU and SFCM.
As a performer, Zishan played several solo recitals and chamber music concerts in USA, Europe and China. She also joined several prestigious music festivals for many years. She was invited by “Bluthner” as an ambassador to perform an opening
concert. Zishan has won several international piano competitions in Europe, USA, and
China. As a young musician, Zishan was interviewed by Chinese TV Channel, Tencent
Video, Ifeng.com, Sohu, and etc.
As a piano teacher, Ms. Ding has different teaching techniques to help students of different learning styles. Her goal of teaching is to make every student love music. Many of her students participated and passed ABRSM exams, and won piano competitions. Other than that, she is involved internationally by hosting student recitals twice a year in China, and teaching master class in China every year as well. As a piano teacher, she wants her passion to influence her student to have more confidents for everything.
In 2017 she has been invited to coach and perform at the University of San Diego for Winter Chamber Heat and the Summer Chamber Music Festival. She currently pursues her goal of becoming a music educator at The University of San Diego and performs with The Greater San Diego Music Coterie, soon to go on their international tour in 2018.
