Keita Ishibashi is a classical violinist, violin luthier, and record producer, engineer and tech raised in San Diego. He has the extremely rare privilege of being entered into permanent written US history in the Congressional Records for his acclaimed musical achievements. Keita has led a life exploring and mastering the many facets of sound and music.
His unique teaching style draws from his many influences with Japanese-American-Russian training. He strives for efficiency in performance technique in order to pull every ounce of sound, tone and musicality from each musician and their instrument. His experience as a soloist and as a violin maker and luthier help him understand the unique individual needs and biomechanics of each player, benefitting both beginners and advanced students alike.
His early musical studies included the California Institute of Music, USC Thornton School of Music and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. His early career included numerous 1st place finishes and solo performances including local San Diego Symphony, La Jolla Symphony, San Diego Youth Symphony and Civic Youth Orchestra as well as VOCE and MTAC. His performances has taken him all over the world from Japan to Europe, featuring televised and radio performances as well as publications in music method books, teaching material, magazines and newspapers.
