Elaine Lim is an active performer and teacher of the solo and collaborative piano music. She enjoys helping students improve their learning and performing skills. Her teaching philosophy aims to make students become independent learners of music, and use music as a tool of expression. Her students range from very young beginners to the elderly, with some being awarded in local festivals and competitions in VA.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Elaine is currently a doctoral candidate in Piano Performance, Pedagogy, and Literature at James Madison University in VA. As an avid researcher, she was invited to be a guest lecturer on different topics such as French Impressionism, American Impressionism, Chopin's Improvisatory Passages, and Performance Anxiety. She has performed solo and collaborative repertoire in the US, Austria, Italy, South Korea, and the Philippines.
