Filipino-American vocalist Abie Songco is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance at San Diego State University. Abie first began her music career with songwriting at the early age of 12 up until now, drawing inspiration from artists such as; Tori Kelly, Alicia Keys, and her mother. Entering middle school, there she gathered ensemble experience in choir for all three years. Following that newfound passion, she joined the advanced madrigals choir all throughout high school. She also explored the field of musical theater and played her most notable role of Belle (Beauty and The Beast) her senior year. With her love and appreciation for a wide range of vocal styles and genres, Abie is furthering her pursuit of them all throughout her singing career. 

 

Music is a beautiful way to communicate with others. Abie believes that every note and melody waiting to be sung has a story to share. Her utmost goal for each student is for them to unravel the many things we can learn from our music and ourselves while exploring the joys in the process!
